I knew from the second I entered the world that I disliked it.

Why I did, I didn't know. Maybe it was a memory of a feeling. Hatred.

Or I just preferred other worlds to this one.

To each side of me were the two I would be completing the mission with. One to my left, taller than me, Blue and lightning yellow hair. Her eyes held a fierce sharpness to them. She was strong. If my memory served me correct, her name was Xeliama.

To my right stood a more relaxed girl. She was well equipped with a bow and quiver, but held a curious crystal ball in her hand. Though she looked quite appealing, I couldn't shake the strange feeling emitting from her. Lexiz was her name, I'm pretty sure.

Before us was a huge maze. At least, that's what it appeared to be.  A colourful door was presented to us.

I was beginning to really, really dislike this place.

"That's a pretty big maze." Xeliama stated with a sigh.

"And we have to go through that maze?" Lexiz asked with a groan.

I looked away from the door and down at the grass. My face was blank yet the emotions I held onto so dearly played within me. The most striking thought was about how we could portal our way to the end of the mission without frolicking around.

I was going to point it out, but when I had finally looked up, Xeliama and Lexiz were entering the maze. I slowly and silently followed after them.

Not too long into the maze though, we were stopped.

Looking up slowly and hearing complaints in the back of my mind, I'm presented with a puzzle. Two men, each with two heads, guarding two doors.

"Which way do we go now?" I could hear Lexiz complain to herself while Xeliama took in the situation. I looked back at the two curious people and thought to myself.

"We already can conduct that one path will lead us where we have to go. The other past must lead us somewhere else." I murmured quietly, looking from both men. I was seeming to get a very nostalgic  feeling about this.

The other..nothing but lies.

Augh...what was it? Lies...opposite of lies is truth.  I think I know something like this which is similar...

"Which way leads to peril?" I heard Xeliama ask. I looked up to see the guards' responses.

They both raised a finger and pointed. The guards on the left pointed to the right, and the guards on the right pointed to the left.

"Are you lying to us?" I asked quietly, the words coming from my memories, something...something buried...

"No" Both guards replied.

Laxiz sighed while Xeliama thought some more.

I knew it was a puzzle of logic. Let's see...One door is the right way, the other is the wrong...

I bent down and with one finger began burning a drawing into the ground. I drew a fork in the road, and the three of us. Then the two guards. Next to the drawing I wrote Lies, and Truth.

Then it hit me. I did know something like this. Something exactly like this. But it was so old and different to our case at the same time.

"The man at the fork in the road...lyersville...and the village of the truth tellers...." I mumbled to myself, "But we have to people...four." I checked.

"Have you got an Idea Rhaaxs?" Lexiz asked me. I nodded slowly and stood.

"Will he tell me that your door leads to the truth?" I asked the man on the left.

"Yes!" The man replied.

I turned and asked the Right man the same question, but the right man replied "No."

"We go this way." Xeliama concluded, giving me a smile. I looked away and erased my markings with my foot.

"We could have portalled past them." I replied quietly.

The rest of the maze was quite the same, though we cheated past most of it with our own respectable abilities.

Breaking into 'The Goblin King's' room was easier than expected. Xeliama broke the door down with her weapon. Inside on a pedestal, cushioned with purple silk was the crystal we were after.

"You think it would have been harder than this." Lexiz commented as Xeliama opened a portal. I could disagree. My mind was still hurting from that damn logic puzzle...coming up with that question so fast was exhausting. I wish there was a mission in my home world. That would be a pleasant surprise.

We handed the crystal over and the mission was labeled a success. But that night, not dreaming of the day before. I dreamt of black and orange, of fear and terror.
All the while, smiling as my conscious met with the darkness I would surely become.
