"I personally don't care for this treaty!" Salué nearly yelled, blurting the thoughts screaming throughout his head.

"So what if we make this perfect treaty where everything and everyone is happy- for how long do you think that 'peace' will last?! You cannot have a positive without a negative just as much as you can't have an action without a consequence!"

He could feel dozens of eyes on him, but it did little to falter his rage, even if one of the stares were Replay's, and even more pressing, his brother's.

"Time may go on and peace may reign, but deep down people will want to revolt, not everyone can live the peaceful life, and if we make one mistake in our rulers, we could have a mass riot which would throw Manda back into war!" He paused, looking down in almost mock contemplation as the glares grew even more intense.

"When things are too quiet people will be calm but nervous, they'll wonder when someone will turn around and stab them in the back. The littlest thing could set everyone off like a long row of dominoes."

"And you can suggest a better idea than this?" Seth's voice boomed, much too sarcastically in the much too quest room- in Salué's opinion.

With a drawn in breath, Salué grit his teeth before coming back to his senses, looking the man in the eye.

"Perhaps not. But I guess for now we can lull the citizens into the calm they want. We can let the city try to repair itself. But I'm telling you, one day this treaty will be broken, and when it is, Manda may perish in the warfare."

He paused, a thought flitting into his head. "And who is to say that peace is what we need. Our groups are what keep the other enemies at bay. You forget that we are not the entire world, we are but one country and groups trying to stop, or create, and even destroy." He murmured.

"With peace comes an age where the people forget that they ever worried about war, while just outside the borders, other countries are joining together to fight. I can almost bet that the Alliance isn't the only one out to stop your rule Seth…"

He shook his head. "Though, that being said, either way it will happen, with or without our total alliance. I heavily agree with Saraya, I do not wish to see the treaty written with just your hand. Who knows how many handicaps and free passes you will give yourself, just to destroy your 'enimies'." He sneered, pulling out of the discussion and waiting for someone else to voice their opinions on this huge joke of a lie.
